So, just letting everyone know, despite the walking and cycling we're doing, no one should expect slimmer, trimmer versions of us when we return. Endless rounds of cheese, potatoes, and acorn-fattened ham are taking their toll. They're very proud of their ham here, by the way--it's on every menu and street corner.

The wares at the Triana market give an idea of where this artist got inspiration.

Triana is the sadder section of Seville. Across the river from the Cathedral , it was originally gypsy headquarters and then during the Industrial Revolution, a major pollution centre for ceramics. Lovely stuff they produced, though.

And of course lots of plates for the ham and cheese.
There is a tapas place--Bar dos de Mayo--a block from our apartment that is Michelin-recommended. We have braved the one-hour line up only once thus far, but these fish fritters were worth it, as was the potato salad with tuna that is Ken's new favourite--but we devoured it before I could snap a photo.

That's enough for today. Lives of the saints and flora/ fauna soon.
Mmmmm! All that fresh fish, no canaries there. (Unless you fry it!). Enjoy yourselves! You can diet at home!
