Saying Goodbye to Ken Senior

One of the reasons for our journey west was to scatter the ashes of Ken’s father. Ken Senior had passed away prior to COVID-19, so it took a few years to make this ceremony happen.

I didn’t know Ken’s father, so won’t say much about him in this post, but I was definitely interested in a few aspects of this event. Cam brought out some Ken Sr memorabilia, including photo albums from his younger days. This photo of Ken’s mom and dad (on right) seems straight out of Mad Men. Love the product placement

Ken Senior was an inveterate traveller and kept detailed logs. Here’s a hand-drawn record of his many trips to Mexico, and an accompanying key.
